Jon Sandelin

Since 1984, Jon Sandelin worked at Stanford University’s Office of Technology Licensing, where he is now the Senior Licensing Associate Emeritus. At Stanford, he licensed all forms of intellectual property, facilitated the creation of start-up companies using Stanford inventions, and developed case-based technology transfer training materials.

Mr. Sandelin has also served as a consultant on the licensing of research-related inventions to other universities, non-profit research organizations, and the federal government. He is the author of several articles on technology transfer through licensing, and has given numerous workshops and presentations in the United States and overseas. He served two terms as the Vice President of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), where he was responsible for developing overseas relationships, and is the past president of the Association of Collegiate Licensing Administrators.

Mr. Sandelin earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Washington and his MBA from Stanford.
